Truly, we walk alongside you and are readily available by email, phone, or text every step of the way.

We work collaboratively with both the family and nanny to alleviate conflict that may arise over these issues. We do so by discussing with both parties the details about the job during the hiring process, providing ample opportunity to ensure clarity and alignment of expectations BEFORE the hiring process is complete.

Q: What qualifications do I need to meet to be represented by your agency?

We welcome nannies with a minimum of one year of professional experience, references that support your professional experience, current First Aid and CPR certifications, a valid driver's license (f needed), reliable transportation, and a clean criminal record.

Q: What is the average timeline for finding a placement through your agency?

As a boutique agency that prioritizes a customized, personalized search and placement process, the timeline can vary. If applying for a particular job, the process can take just a few short weeks. Once on our roster, you’ll be encouraged to watch our Job Board. We love having our current nannies reach out and show interest in jobs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the placement process work?

At West Coast Baby Care, our placement process begins with your online application, a pre-screening interview with our nanny coordinator, and completion of our onboarding process. Once complete, you will be at the top of our list of nannies to refer for new jobs as they arise on our Job Board.

Although we do not negotiate your nanny/family work agreement for you, we are readily available to answer questions and guide you through the process. Our families are expected to provide a signed agreement and pay our placement fee prior to your first day of work. We don’t expect you to remember everything, so we send emails offering guidance and sharing updates of our (and your) progress.

What qualifications do I need to meet to be represented by your agency?

Our families are typically from the West Coast although we work with families from across the United States and even some international families traveling to the US. WCBC families seek nannies for various positions such as newborn care specialists, full or part-time roles, and even live-in opportunities.
